Walking towards Montgo mountain
Eastern Spain hasn't disappointed with its various walks we have taken on, not massive long walks but some challenging uphills and downhills along the way, I have to say the Spanish coastal walks are much more of a challenge than our safe English paths, but that said the veiws are amazing and the weather is fantastic.
The first walk from the port of Javea up to the windmills of Javea a brisk up hill to get you to the Mirador of Cap de Sant Antoni the view across Javea is amazing.
Follow the trail along the top to the windmills and another great view.
Our second walk took us to Coastal loop taking in the Cova Tallada (carved cave) and the torre de gerro and then onto the tip of Denia and back to the windmills, the first section was a hard downhill scramble across rocks and in some areas, chains to assist you 🤣😅
The third walk was around the Granadella costal loop, a very steep cliff Walk to the old castle and then up to the Mirador and far view of Calpe rock, a steep path back to the beach for coffee and a swim.
This area of Spain offers an opportunity to walk in the October sun, taking in some wonderful views and getting the feel for the local Spanish area.
If like me and my son Adam you enjoy being out and about and not pushing yourself to hard, this area offers some great walking with the added bonus of sunshine, you will see from the pictures just what I mean, I have been completely taken with this area and what is has to offer the walker and the cyclist if you prefer two wheels.
I keep thinking what the weather back home is like right now, I've been in shorts and T-shirts for the last seven days, thank you again Spain, still time to do more before we head back to England.😎😃😄
